A heritage garden in Guisborough has helped us take a seaside trip this summer - thanks to a generous donation of £2,600!
Tudor Croft is a five-acre private property in the Teesside market town, well-known for its incredible gardens, which are opened to the public just a few times a year. And Kids Kabin is grateful to be one of the many charities that have benefitted from these open garden events, which this year have raised a record amount for a number of good causes.
Created in the 1930s, fundraising open days at the gardens have been taking place since the 1950s, raising around £5,000 a year for charities of all kinds. Here's a selection of the clay creations made by Middlesbrough's young people at this summer's events.
Some of the funds are being used for members of Kids Kabin Middlesbrough to visit Whitby for a day before the end of the school break, and we can't thank Tudor Croft enough for their ongoing support.
The stunning space, which has its own trout stream, will next be open to the public in February 2022, when the biggest snowdrop collection in the north will be on display.
