Last week was Small Charity Week 2022, and the theme this year was connection, so it was only fitting that we ended the week making many new connections as part of Heaton Festival!
Although there was a mini event last year, the full festival returned for the first time in three years on Saturday (June 25th) having been delayed due to Covid – and the community came out in force to support it.
A big THANK YOU to all the volunteers who set up and ran the event. Thousands of visitors enjoyed music, food, games and creative activities in a great community atmosphere – and the sun shone!
And well done to Tyler, our Kids Kabin volunteer, who ran a four-hour pottery wheel workshop in the children's craft tent, enabling 40 children and young people to make their first ever pot and take it home on the day.
